It was loud in Lecco, Italy on the 20th July because of a huge air show where Gabor performed a spectacular show for the crowd at the beach. „When I jumped out of the helicopter and looked around: the view of the people around the lake was amazing! It was a very memorable experience to fly in front of so many spectators. The organizers told me after that they were around 30.000.” |

The second station of the World Cup Tour was the Paranoia Acrobatix in Zell am See. At this location the competitors have less altitude to perform maneuvers so they have to choose carefully which tricks to put in their program. Gabor also did a new maneuver combination, he finished on the 7th place. Finally the moment has come: Pal and Gabor jumped out together from a helicopter in the final expression session. This was Pal’s first flight after his accident. „It was an incredible feeling to be in the air again, to fly with Gabor and to see that the maneuvers still work perfectly after two months stop.” P.T. |

Extreme sports athletes and professional filmmakers arrived to Switzerland from all over the world in the beginning of July. Many kayakers, basejumpers, rock climbers, paragliders, bikers and people with big cameras appeared in the Interlaken region. 5 teams had 5 days to produce a short movie. Gabor was the acrobatic pilot of the Team IBEX. Their movie „The Red Helmet” is about a shy little boy who finds a magic red helmet which helps him to open his mind and fight his fears. You can watch all the teams’movies on www.outdoorgames.org in the summer edition’s videogallery. |

This year’s first tournament was the Vertigo. It was the location of the first World Championship, now it’s part of the Aerobatics Paragliding World Cup Tour and still cosidered as one of the most important events in the acro scene. On Saturday there was a new concept in the competition (Open) where the judges scored the pilots live right after their run. Gabor Kezi and Cyril Planton, the JOKER Team could step up to the podium on the 2nd place, and reached the 2nd position in the Open competition as well. This result is really outstanding because they had only one single training flight together before the first run. |

On the 25th of May on a nice Sunday afternoon while training Pal Takats suffered an accident in Stechlberg, Switzerland by ground-spiralling over high-grass. He went too low, the wingtip caught the flowers and pulled him down...He broke his left ankle in the impact. A few hours later he passed through an operation to fix the injured bones (with 3 screws) and the blood circulation in the foot. Then he spent 4 more days in the hospital but now he is back home and feels much better. He is focusing only on a fast recovery to be able to return to the sport as soon as possible.
„Thanks for the selfness support of my girlfriend, family, friends and last but not least our sponsors, to help my way back.” P.T. |

justACRO Team had a succesful week in Ölüdeniz in the first half of May. They organized a course on the Turkish riviera for pilots specially interested in acrobatic flying. Taking off from Babadag mountain they had 1000 m of altitude and always stabil weather conditions for practicing. The students arrived from all over the world: from Switzerland, Germany or someone from Australia or Iran. The pilots had a personalised instruction according to their level. Some of them were learning the basics, some of them wanted to master the D-bag jump technik, some wanted all. After the course everyone was happy and both the sudents and our instructors closed the course with a lot of success and new experiences. |

The Hungarian acro gurus swinged over their gliders 85 times.
Pal Takats and Gabor Kezi, the stars of the Hungarian paragliding scene set up the new world record in synchro infinty tumble.
The two pilots performed the most difficult existing acro maneuver in Ölüdeniz, Turkey in front of the spectators of Airgames Festival.
The infinity looks like they're jumping over the center of the glider. The two pilots were doing this maneuver several times in this season, but on competitions they did maximum 7 laps. Perhaps the record was inpired by the french superstar Antione Montant who performed 130 laps Infinty on the Coupe Icare Expo this autumn.
The justACRO pilots are about to make bigger record:
"That little fun in Turkey was just a warmup for a real record attempt: 200 laps Infinity Tumbling by jumping out from a hot air balloon." |

Gabor and Pal stay in Hungary for the winter and spend a lot of energy on getting authorization for D-bag jumps in Hungary that they can tumble in front of the Hungarian spectators.
Gabor Kezi: „We don’t have high mountains so we only make an acroshow by jumping out of a helicopter. However in West Europe this system is well-known and accepted, in Hungary we have to fight with the authorities. In my dream we’re doing a synchro spiral with Pal in front of our Parliament over the Danube. However.
"We will not sit all day with the authorities, we've started skydiving and flying paramotors also.” |

We would like to say a BIG THANKS to all our sponsors who have helped our Team on the way to the success!
Our supporters were:
Wizzair, Hungarian Free Flying Association, Mormaii Eyewear, Nokia Óbuda, Apco Aviation, Eduard Wagner, Lars and our parents.
Without them we couldn’t have done this season.
In 2008 we will have a stronger background with the partnership of Red Bull and U-Turn Paragliders. We expect a growing number of media issues, more hours appearances in international televisions mainly related to the Second World Championship which will be held in Voss, Norway. |
