Bad luck
Friday, 06 June 2008

On the 25th of May on a nice Sunday afternoon while training Pal Takats suffered an accident in Stechlberg, Switzerland by ground-spiralling over high-grass. He went too low, the wingtip caught the flowers and pulled him down...He broke his left ankle in the impact. A few hours later he passed through an operation to fix the injured bones (with 3 screws) and the blood circulation in the foot. Then he spent 4 more days in the hospital but now he is back home and feels much better. He is focusing only on a fast recovery to be able to return to the sport as soon as possible.

„Thanks for the selfness support of my girlfriend, family, friends and last but not least our sponsors, to help my way back.” P.T.

Acro course in Ölüdeniz
Wednesday, 21 May 2008
justACRO Team had a succesful week in Ölüdeniz in the first half of May. They organized a course on the Turkish riviera for pilots specially interested in acrobatic flying. Taking off from Babadag mountain they had 1000 m of altitude and always stabil weather conditions for practicing. The students arrived from all over the world: from Switzerland, Germany or someone from Australia or Iran. The pilots had a personalised instruction according to their level. Some of them were learning the basics, some of them wanted to master the D-bag jump technik, some wanted all. After the course everyone was happy and both the sudents and our instructors closed the course with a lot of success and new experiences.

World Record in Synchro Infinity Tumbling!
Wednesday, 21 November 2007

The Hungarian acro gurus swinged over their gliders 85 times.

Pal Takats and Gabor Kezi, the stars of the Hungarian paragliding scene set up the new world record in synchro infinty tumble.

The two pilots performed the most difficult existing acro maneuver in Ölüdeniz, Turkey in front of the spectators of Airgames Festival.

The infinity looks like they're jumping over the center of the glider. The two pilots were doing this maneuver several times in this season, but on competitions they did maximum 7 laps. Perhaps the record was inpired by the french superstar Antione Montant who performed 130 laps Infinty on the Coupe Icare Expo this autumn.

The justACRO pilots are about to make bigger record:

"That little fun in Turkey was just a warmup for a real record attempt: 200 laps Infinity Tumbling by jumping out from a hot air balloon."

Winter session
Friday, 09 November 2007

Gabor and Pal stay in Hungary for the winter and spend a lot of energy on getting authorization for D-bag jumps in Hungary that they can tumble in front of the Hungarian spectators.

Gabor Kezi: „We don’t have high mountains so we only make an acroshow by jumping out of a helicopter. However in West Europe this system is well-known and accepted, in Hungary we have to fight with the authorities. In my dream we’re doing a synchro spiral with Pal in front of our Parliament over the Danube. However.

"We will not sit all day with the authorities, we've started skydiving and flying paramotors also.”

Thanks for our sponsors!
Thursday, 08 November 2007

We would like to say a BIG THANKS to all our sponsors who have helped our Team on the way to the success!

Our supporters were:

Wizzair, Hungarian Free Flying Association, Mormaii Eyewear, Nokia Óbuda, Apco Aviation, Eduard Wagner, Lars and our parents.

Without them we couldn’t have done this season.

In 2008 we will have a stronger background with the partnership of Red Bull and U-Turn Paragliders. We expect a growing number of media issues, more hours appearances in international televisions mainly related to the Second World Championship which will be held in Voss, Norway.
